CHAIRMAN AND GM MESSAGE 10 JUNE 2020

Dear Members,

We hope this letter finds you safe and healthy. The Governor has announced that Northern Virginia will begin Phase 2 on Friday, 12 June, and this email states the Club ’ s plans for Phase 2.

Before we discuss the plans, we would like to make a brief comment. Simply stated, the Board of Governors will not tolerate racism here at Army Navy. If there is something about our operations that concerns you, please bring the matter to our attention so that we can address the issue appropriately. With respect to Phase 2, while there have been coronavirus cases within the ANCC family (Members and staff), it is our hope that the number of cases will continue to decline. Nearly all of us have demonstrated great care and concern for their fellow Members by complying with our temporary COVID - 19 rules. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Due to membership support and with the Governor ’ s announcement, ANCC will begin Phase 2 this Friday, 12 June. As you might guess, some of the plans require increased staffing and we may not be able to staff all activities as quickly as we might like, as we take the necessary steps to bring back many of our furloughed staff. The temporary rules will remain in effect in Phase 2. If you are sick, stay home. If you have had contact with a coronavirus patient, stay home for 14 days. Maintain social distancing. Wear a mask indoors. You will receive additional communications regarding the details of some of the changes from each department. Keep in mind that while Phase 2 permits an increased level of operations, it also holds some new requirements. To meet these requirements, we will modify the various activities as follows:
