Compared with August 2024, the number of rental units registered increased 19.6%.  Using a 12-month moving average 4 , there were 2,083 rental units registered 5 in August, trending at a 1.1% increase from July.  Using a 36-month moving average 4 , there were 1,649 rental units registered 5 in August, which is a 1.0% increase from July.  There were 19 rental buildings registered 5 in August. Most of these were buildings of 5 to 50 units (42.1%) and buildings of more than 100 units (36.8%). The largest building of 200 units was proposed to be built in Vancouver.  In August, Vancouver (711), Langford (219) and Port Moody (128) had the largest number of rental units registered 5 in B.C.
