Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance The Lemont Park District advocates for full participation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Our staff will work with SEASPAR Special Parks & Recreation and parents when special accommodations are necessary due to a participant’s disability. Lemont Park District reserves the right to dismiss a participant whose behavior endangers his or her own safety or the safety of others. Behavior Policy Participants/parents/guardians are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been developed to help make programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. Participants shall: 1) Show respect to all participants, staff, volunteers, spectators; and take direction from staff; 2) Refrain from using abusive or foul language; 3) Refrain from threatening or causing bodily harm to self, other participants or staff; 4) Respect all equipment, supplies and facilities; 5) Not possess and weapons. The Park District reserves the right to dismiss a participant from a program if their behavior or language is deemed inappropriate by staff. Lemont Park District applies a positive approach to discipline. Lemont Park District reserves the right to dismiss a participant whose behavior endangers his or her Lemont Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone any classes or rentals, or combine classes as necessary. Classes may be canceled due to low enrollments. No refunds will be issued once a class has begun. Refund requests must be submitted to The CORE desk staff in person or via phone or email during normal business hours. Requests received via email after normal business hours will be dated for the next business day. Credits or make-up classes are not available if a class is missed. If the Park District cancels a trip or program, a full refund will be issued. Classes, camps, athletic leagues, or programs - The cancellation deadline for a full refund is 7 days prior to the start of the class/ program. After that, a $10 processing fee for each class canceled and any other associated costs (uniforms, supplies, etc.) which have already been incurred will be deducted from the refund amount. No refunds will be issued after a class/camp/league/ program has begun. Aquatic Center Passes – No refunds will be issued after the first day the pool opens for the summer. Preschool – The Deposit Fee of $100 is NON-REFUNDABLE. CORE Memberships - There are no refunds for CORE Memberships. All cancellation requests will be processed the last day of the month and future billings will not occur. own safety or the safety of others. Medical Drops – Prorated refunds will be issued upon receipt of a note from a doctor stating the individual can no longer participate in the program. The refund will be prorated from the date of receipt of the doctor’s note. Refund Methods - Refund s – Customers will be credited in the same manner payment was received such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Customers who paid by cash or check will receive a check. Check refunds are processed monthly. Household Credit - Amount of refund will be credited to your Household Account for future use.
$10 Day-Of Registration Fee Registrations taken on the program start date will incur a $10 Service Fee. Editorial Policy/Errors We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information in our publications. But sometimes an error occurs resulting in changes in fees, schedules, etc. LPD reserves the right to make any such changes. Lemont Park Foundation The Lemont Park Foundation was established for the purpose of improving, providing and expanding Lemont Park District facilities and resources. Lemont Park Foundation Helping Hand Award The Lemont Park Foundation Helping Hand Award Program is designed to provide financial assistance to residents of the Lemont Park District in need, to enable them to participate in the Lemont Park District programs and/or facilities. The Lemont Park Foundation, working with the Executive Director of the Park District, will attempt to provide a scholarship to a needy family, or individual resident. Applications are confidential and the recipient parent/guardian is required to volunteer their time at a park district or community event. Lemont Park Foundation Memorial Trees and Benches Through the Memorial Tree and Bench Program, friends and family can provide a unique dedication to loved ones by placing a tree or bench in one of the beautiful parks of the Lemont Park District. This historical dedication provides a lasting remembrance in honor of a loved one and enhances the meaning of a tree or bench to observers or park patrons. For more information, please visit www.LemontParkFoundation.org. Minimum/Maximum Class Numbers Each program offered has a minimum number of participants needed for the class to proceed. To maintain our fiscal responsibility to the residents of Lemont, we will cancel classes or programs that fail to meet the minimum requirement. The maximum number represents the highest amount of registrants allowed in the class. No Parking The areas in front of The CORE and Centennial Community Center are a drop off and pick up area only. Please do not park in these areas, it is necessary for emergency vehicles to have immediate access to our buildings.
