Regular stretching keeps muscles long, lean, and flexible, and this means that exertion won’t put too much force on the muscle itself. Healthy muscles also help a person with balance problems to avoid falls.

Introduction to Pilates Principals and Fundamentals Pilates is a series of floor-based exercises. Learn about body awareness: improve core strength, alignment, coordination, flexibility of shoulders and hips, and balance. Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects poor posture and improves breathing techniques. This exercise method is suitable for people of all body types and fitness abilities. Pilates should not be done exclusively; it should complement your yoga practice, sports (golf, tennis, paddle, squash) and cardiovascular workouts. SERP GROUP EXERCISE CLASS

Stroke Enhancement & Rotational Power (SERP)

Tuesdays , 6:15 pm Instructor: Beth Sheehy

“I have been taking the newly offered SERP course since it started in the fall. The class is a unique blend of exercises for posture, balance, stretching and core strength, incorporating a focus on rotation. I think it is a perfect class for any sport enthusiast, as it works on basic fundamentals that are key for any type of physical activity.
