The Legal Staff Support Group has grown tremendously since launch. With a now blossoming community of engaged staff members, we felt it was important to start spotlighting those in our community to ensure they feel supported and recognized for their achievements. There is no other way fitting for CAOC LSSG to kick off their member spotlights than to recognize the work of one person whose name and work everyone is already familiar with: CAOC LSSG Committee Chair, Rose Gutierrez. From filing clerk to top-tier litigation manager at Lew-Stevens, LLP, Rose's 25-plus year journey in the legal world is nothing short of awe- inspiring. But what truly sets Rose apart is not just her sharp legal mind and work ethic —it is her huge heart for lifting others up. Armed with a master’s degree in education from UCLA and her roots as a high school math teacher, Rose is a natural mentor who has spent the last two decades cheering on and guiding litigation staff, helping them thrive in and out of the courtroom. She brought that same passion to CAOC, proudly making history as the very first Chair of their first-ever Legal Staff Support Group! When she is not busy writing insightful articles for The Advocate or Forum Magazine , or gently directing the attorneys on her team on what they need to do, or planning sessions for CAOC Staff education and CAALA staff education with her committees, (sometimes at 3:00 in the morning), you can find Rose giving back to her beloved Gamma Phi Beta sorority, crushing workouts with her trainer, or unwinding with
good food, baking, and a nice glass of wine. From your vice-chairs and countless others, THANK YOU, Rose, for your fierce dedication, giant heart, and for always paving the way for the next generation of legal professionals! Make sure to follow LSSG socials for updates. We hope to see you at the Annual Convention where we have an LSSG-NLD mock trial planned. Attorneys and paralegals you know and love will be there.
