Spotlight: Jessica Dayton, Paula Vielman-Reeves
WC Legislative Chair and past Woman Consumer Advocate Award recipient Jessica Dayton, together with her partner Paula Vielman-Reeves of ADZ Law, tried Jane Doe v. Eric Rheinheimer, a case alleging sexual battery, assault, domestic violence, trespass, and intentional infliction of emotional distress against an individual perpretartor. Jessica and Paula came into the case on the day of trial, after prior counsel moved to withdraw. They had every reason to ask for a continuance. Instead, rather than put their client through another delay, they went forward and achieved swift justice for her. A San Francisco jury found in favor of their client and awarded her both compensatory and punitive damages. Congratulations to Jessica, Paula, and their brave client.

Congratulations to Women’s Caucus member Andje Medina, elected CAOC’s next Parliamentarian in a race with record-breaking voter turnout. Thank you to everyone who voted, and to the other candidates who ran. Every candidate showed real dedication to this organization and CAOC is fortunate to have that many capable people willing to step up.

LA City Attorney Candidate Townhall
Women’s Caucus members attended the September 17, 2026 Los Angeles City Attorney Candidate Townhall: General Election Edition, featuring candidates John McKinney and Marissa Roy, a CAOC-endorsed candidate. Roy used the town hall to lay out her vision and plans for the office and to draw clear distinctions between their two approaches.
