New Quick Poll: RTI changes Published: 19 March 2024 Emailed: 20 March 2024
With the news that HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has published a technical consultation on the amendment to Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Real Time Information (RTI) returns, it raised the question of how the changes will impact payroll professionals.
From April 2025 employers will be required to provide more detailed information on employees’ hours paid via RTI. Therefore, the policy team would like know the opinions of the payroll community.
The latest Quick Poll asks for your opinion on how prepared you are for the changes taking place from April 2025. Please let us know your thoughts, as always, we are grateful for your participation.
The policy team has been advised by the HMRC officials leading this technical consultation, that they wish to run think tanks with our full, fellow, and Chartered members, to discuss the draft regulations in more detail.

The latest Quick Poll results are in, with 542 responses on whether or not you promote the HM Revenue and Customs HMRC app:
37% of respondents said no

35% of respondents said what HMRC app

28% of respondents said yes
•
With only just over a quarter of the respondents saying that they do promote the app, it is clear that most payroll professionals are not aware of the app or the benefits of using it.
Thank you to everyone who responded, your opinion is invaluable and, we will provide HMRC the data with regards to the awareness of the app and it’s features.
