September is History Month in Hardy County The 68th Annual Hardy County Heritage Weekend , September 24, 25, and 26, will feature historic house tours, reenactments, performances, a quilt show, and a craft show— just a few of the county- wide festivities planned to explore our history and discover yours. Crossroads: Change in Rural America, a Smithsonian Institution Museum on Main Street exhibition sponsored by the West Virginia Humanities Council and Hardy County CVB, will be hosted at Moorefield High School August 30–September 30. Throughout the month, related projects developed by community groups will also explore the themes of change in agriculture, restoration and reuse of historic structures, preservation and identification of historic images and traditional craft processes, and land use and protection.
