AI and data capture technologies 250 . The AI-powered employment law and industrial relations guidance service developed for Acas and the Employment Tribunal has allowed Wyser to be selected for Innovate UK’s Sustainable Impact Investment Programme (SIIP) in 2022 251 , having previously received support through the UKRI Sustainable Innovation Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic. 252 In 2020, Wyser was one of the Rising Stars 4.0 Regional Winners at the Tech Nation Rising Stars Awards. 253 On the occasion, CEO Mark Pearce recognised the significance of Wales as a start-up environment: London often takes the limelight but tech companies like us have woken up to the benefits of setting up in Wales because of the abundance of high-quality talent from the universities there, easier access to regional funding and a well-connected tech community. 254

Identitech 255 Founded by Scott Jones in August 2020, and currently led by CEO Manoj Khetia, Identitech is a LegalTech startup that provides comprehensive compliance, identity management, and software services.

Identitech offers a range of services, encompassing KYC and AML compliance, document validation through artificial intelligence (AI), and biometric verification using facial recognition technology. The KYC & AML compliance services encompass UK credit checks, electoral roll analyses, international sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) screenings, as well as birth and death register searches. Identitech’s services aim at streamlining compliance, resulting in cost and time savings, and provide clients with tailored compliance and onboarding solutions. The company was recently awarded the Mobile and Emerging Technologies StartUp of the Year at the StartUp Awards Wales 2022. 256
