Curating the Talent Marketplace Sourcing Engine Most EOR talent marketplaces function as holding pools - a place to redeploy existing client talent. That’s a fraction of the value. Repositioned as an open sourcing engine - accessible to freelancers, consultants, contractors, and international remote workers – those marketplaces become low-cost talent channels clients can pull from directly. Supported by the recruiting capability most EORs already have (see #3), clients will spend more through an EOR’s employment engine than through high-markup staffing and consulting channels. By inviting them into the EOR’s marketplace as recruiting and sourcing partners, they receive new customers, incremental requisitions, transparent attribution, faster cross-border fulfillment, and a share of placement economics. As the staffing suppliers bring talent flow, an EOR can provide the employment engine and payment infrastructure. All placements run through the EOR, which will have two revenue streams: placement fees and employment margins. It will be a new revenue channel. A key requirement: staffing suppliers will only feel confident participating if there is enough opportunity to make it worth their while and good talent ownership visibility and controls are present. EORs who get that right will see supplier customers become recruiting engines, not just other clients.
