My uncle, Allen L. Schluger (1932-May, 2018 age 86) of Easton, Pa. He was a creative, peo- ple-loving man and husband of Barbara Con- over Schluger. They were married for 46 precious years. He was the son of the late Leon and Sadie Schluger. Allen grew up in Philadelphia, where he attended high school. After serving in the Army in a MASH Unit in Korea, he pursued a formal study of literature and language at the Universita per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy. He then continued his education, studying music and theater arts in Vienna, where he appeared in small roles in sev- eral films. One highlight of his career was creating the English under titles to the film Sisi and briefly hobnobbing with Walt Disney and his staff.
Allen moved to New York City, and a brief acting career there included a role in its famous Shake- speare Festival. In the dynamic years of the late 1960s and early 1970s, this was followed by his stint as advertising manager of the avant-garde magazine Evergreen Review, published by Grove Press. Allen spent many years as the independent marketer of his numerous innovative patented and licensed packages. He is also the author of several unique novels and novellas.
