• Large, robust gears for tough jobs . The DT12®-V and the DT12-VX feature large robust gears that allow for increased gross combination weight (GCW) and input torque. • An improved oil system design . A new oil pump provides a more continuous flow of oil at all speeds and operating conditions. Its bottom-mounted oil intake also allows oil to be picked up at the lowest level and sprayed onto the gear mesh, ensuring ample lubrication in tough conditions and less parasitic loss due to oil splash. • Enhanced thermal management for greater reliability . The oil cooler’s adaptive bypass valve maintains oil at an optimal temperature for any running application. This cools oil when it’s needed and bypasses when it’s not. • Side PTO capability for increase application coverage . In addition to ray power take-off (PTO), the Side PTO capability of the DT12® Vocational Series transmission provides flexibility and dependable performance for any industry, from heavy haul to logging, construction, farming, mining and oil. Refrigerant Additives: I n today's world of highly marketed items, sometimes its hard to know what you are purchasing. Often times what you don’t know can hurt you, or in the case of refrigerant additives, hurt your a/c system. Many of the more marketed refrigerants are not pure refrigerant. They may contain things like, dye, oil, and sealant. What most people don’t realize is that some additives may harm your a/c system. There are different types of oil, as well as weights. Installing the incorrect oil can cause damage to your a/c compressor. Sealants are another concern. The way most sealants work is they look for moisture in the system. Once it reaches an area that contains moisture, it begins to expand and fill the area. The issue is that sealants can plug condensers, evaporators, driers, as well as expansion valves or orifice tubes. Most manufacturers do not recognize refrigerant sealants as a valid repair. In many cases sealants can actually void the manufactures HVAC warranty.

Sealants, Dye, Oil?

When purchasing refrigerant, it is recommended to read the label and verify that it is pure refrigerant, and no additives are contained. this includes not only the components, but also the refrigerant that is utilized. It is a best practice to repair an a/c system back to factory standards,
