SEVERAL CHARGES LAID DURING LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY
The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made several stops from February 25 to March 3, leading to charges being laid. On February 25, at about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a commercial vehicle collision involving a dual trailer transport truck, which left the roadway and came to rest in the median along Highway 417 westbound, near the Limoges exit. There were no injuries. During their investigation, officers charged 48-year-old Ottawa driver Terrence McFadden with driving while under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice in L›Orignal, Ontario, on April 4, 2019. The very next day, at about 4:30 p.m., an officer came across a two-vehicle collision on Laurier Street in Rockland. Following an investigation, a 17-year-old male from Rockland, driving a van, was charged with 4UBSUGSPNB1BSLFE1PTJUJPO/PUJO4BGFUZ under the Highway Traffic Act. On February 28, at 8:30 p.m., an officer was conducting stationary radar enforcement on County Road 17 in Rockland, which led to a 21-year-old man being charged with driving impaired and having control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available. Iskander Jallouli received a 90-day driver›s license suspen- sion and the vehicle was also impounded
for seven days. He is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Court of Justice in L›Orignal, Ontario, on March 20. d’Ottawa, conduisait avec un permis de conduire suspendu. Une grange de Clarence-Creek a été la proie des flammes le 11 mars dernier. Les pompiers de Clarence-Rockland ont reçu un appel tôt en matinée. « Nous estimons les dommages à tout près de 100 000 $, a expliqué le chef des pompiers Brian Wilson, 80 000 $ pour la grange et 20 000 $ pour son contenu. » Selon ce dernier, la grange, qui a été totalement détruite, n’aurait pas été occupée depuis un certain temps.
