Provide Community, a high growth employee owned social enterprise organisation, is seeking to add a Senior Bid Writer to the team to enhance their bid management capability. This is a new role and part of an upgraded team designed to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge across their services. Following his recent appointment, the Group Business Development Director, Amit Dixit is growing a high performing team to drive growth and impact across the group. The Senior Bid Writer appointment is one of several key additions to the bid team. The Senior Bid Writer will create high-quality written responses for healthcare service bids working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the wider bid team to deliver submissions, ensuring content aligns with client requirements and reflects Provide CIC’s strategic objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE Senior Bid Writer LOCATION Colchester Headquarters / Remote / Travel as required REPORTS TO Group Business Development Director HOURS 37.5 per week ROLE SUMMARY The Senior Bid Writer plays a key role within Provide Community Interest Company , supporting the organisation’s ambitious growth by creating high-quality written responses for healthcare service bids. Reporting to the Director of Bids, this role is responsible for developing and producing compelling, compliant, and winning bid documentation. The Senior Bid Writer works closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the wider bid team to deliver submissions, ensuring content aligns with client requirements and reflects Provide CIC’s strategic objectives. The role requires an individual with excellent writing skills and a deep understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly NHS procurement processes. As a senior member of the team, you will also support the Director of Bids in the continuous improvement of bid content and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Bid Writing & Content Development • Lead the development of high- quality, persuasive written responses for bids, proposals and tenders, particularly NHS tenders and healthcare contracts. • Work closely with SMEs to translate technical and operational information into clear, compelling narratives that align with client requirements. • Ensure that all bid submissions are compliant with specifications and deadlines, delivering a professional and coherent response. stakeholders, including clinical and operational teams, to gather the necessary input for each bid. • Coach SMEs on how to effectively communicate their expertise in a way that strengthens the bid. • Support the Director of Bids in ensuring stakeholder engagement across the bid process. Process Improvement & Bid Library Management • Maintain the bid content library, ensuring up-to-date case studies, standard responses, and templates are available for use in future bids. • Continuously improve bid writing processes by incorporating feedback from post-bid reviews and lessons learned. • Assist the Director of Bids in developing new content that supports a proactive bid strategy. Quality Assurance • Conduct thorough reviews and editing of bid submissions to ensure consistency, clarity, and quality. • Ensure all written content complies with procurement regulations, client specifications, and internal governance frameworks.

EXPERIENCE • Proven experience as a Bid Writer within the healthcare or public sector, with a track record of contributing to successful bids. • Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes and experience in writing for public sector tenders. • Experience working with SMEs and internal stakeholders to develop high-quality bid content. • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. SKILLS AND APTITUDES • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content. • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and ensure the timely delivery of bids. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs and other stakeholders. • High attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all bid submissions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience using bid management tools. OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Willingness to travel across the South East/England/ UK as required. • Additional duties may be required to support the bid process, which will be agreed upon in consultation with the Director of Bids. • The development of proposals, presentations and briefs to support other commercial activity, including Mergers and Acquisitions.
