Duration: 36 months Funding: €2 million from Agence Française de Développement (AFD) through the Digital Africa seed fund The AfriLabs Capacity Building Programme (ACBP) is designed to enhance the organizational capacity and sustainability of innovation hubs and tech communities in Africa. Through training, mentorship, and resource mobilization support, ACBP equips hub managers and staff with the skills, tools, and networks needed to effectively support startups and drive ecosystem growth. Programme Objectives The ACBP aims to strengthen innovation hubs across Africa, enabling them to attract investments and run local and regional impact-driven programs that support entrepreneurs and startups. This initiative contributes to the growth of the African innovation ecosystem. Key Features 1. Quarterly Hubs Learning Week: 12 sessions conducted to enhance knowledge sharing and collaborative learning among hubs. 2. Physical Workshops: 16 workshops held in 15 African cities, providing hands-on training and networking opportunities. 3. Funds Disbursement Components: Capacity Building Awards: €15,000 per selected innovation hub/ center. Virtual Meetup Grants: €2,000 per selected innovation hub/center. 4. Hub Management Certification Course: Certification for hub managers to improve management practices and operational efficiency.

5. Hubs in Residence: Residency programs to facilitate immersive learning and collaboration.
