AfriLabs understands that a strong and diverse team is fundamental to achieving our ambitious goals. In 2023, we made significant strides in fostering a more inclusive and representative workforce. Focused on team growth, we strategically expanded our team by recruiting 21 new staff , bringing on board talented individuals with a wide range of expertise. This growth allows us to better serve our growing network of startups and partners across Africa. Further to this, our targeted recruitment aims to attract and retain talent from diverse backgrounds. As a result, we achieved a more diverse team made up of team members from 10 African countries, thus achieving a 25% increase in the diversification of our team. The organization’s initiative to embrace technology for fostering innovation led to the adoption of the SeamlessHR platform, facilitating the digitization of People Management/HR processes. This transition has significantly streamlined our people processes, equipping us with valuable data and insights to drive strategic decision-making effectively. In investing in our people, we prioritize the professional development of our staff by providing opportunities for training, mentorship, mental wellness programmes and skill-building initiatives. This investment empowers our team to deliver exceptional service and contribute meaningfully to AfriLabs’ mission.
