HMRC Talking Points meetings 13 June 2017

HMRC will be holding two Talking Points meetings this week. The first covers Tax Agent Toolkits and the second looks at VAT Motoring Expenses.

On Wednesday 14 June between midday and 1pm the Talking Point meeting on Tax Agent Toolkits will provide:

 information on areas of error that HMRC often sees in returns  a live demonstration after which HMRC would appreciate your comments

HMRC is keen to stress that they cannot answer any technical tax questions

On Thursday 15 June between 3pm and 4pm, the Talking Point meeting on VAT and Motoring Expenses will cover:

 the general rules that apply when reclaiming VAT on the purchase of cars when hiring and leasing vehicles  commercial vehicles, other motoring expenses and record keeping

You can ask questions, either before the meeting or on the day using the onscreen text box.
