He was inspired by his visit to Tangier, Morocco, where he noted how the local population would daydream for hours, gazing into goldfish bowls. I was introducing my new signature, which would stick with me for the rest of my life, Shoosty.
The Shoosty Business Cards displayed on these two pages are based on similar works by Henri Matisse. Matisse once said, “An artist must never be a prisoner of himself, prisoner of style, prisoner of reputation, prisoner of success, etc.” I admire his work and the way he thinks. For Matisse, the goldfish symbolized a tranquil state of mind and simultaneously
