the headquarters building. Then I showed him an office and offered it to him. My idea was to add some character to the call center. I wanted to tell a deeper story than just taking phone calls. He agreed, and I added him to our client tours. I did not ask for rent. Instead, I asked him to create a few paintings related to my family, so the story would have continuity.
In 2004, I attended the Portraiture Society of America convention. While filling out a form before the show, I was presented with two checkboxes: Artist or Agent. I chose agent. Later, I received a call from Declan Walsh, who informed me that I was the only agent in the Southern United States. I explained to him that it was a lark when I filled out the form, and we became friends. I showed him my office with over 300 employees in
