A Knights Journey is a painting based on a set of drawings at museums completed during a summer trip to Europe in 2012. The scene depicts a fully decked- out knight atop a handsome horse on the road leading to a castle set in the distance. In front of him is the symbol of death, a skeleton with a king’s crown. Behind him is another omen in the form of a demon with two legs, a long-horned oryx head, and large teeth.
Surrounding the central image on the bottom and right side are Medieval scenes, including a man praying, a cherub, a small campfire, a conjurer, a man holding a book holding and a parrot walking stick, and a vampire.
