My son went into a mental health treatment center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The program treats the whole family. We learned lots of techniques surrounding mental health. One of them is called Integrated Recovery. It touts a holistic view of the body.
In this painting, my son, Jaime, sits on the sands of time while a professor and his assistants offer wisdom in the form of books. Each circle represents a ring in one’s life, starting with cleanliness, moving to religion, family, and the outside influences of a whole and prosperous life. An angel with wings oversees a reflection in the sands of time.
