“Surreal Portrait” takes a disassembled figure and arranges it in a pleasing, fantastical, surrealist way. Surrealism is an art movement that originated in the early 20th century and is characterized by its use of dreamlike imagery and unexpected juxtapositions to explore the unconscious mind. As Salvador Dali, one of the most famous surrealist artists, once said: “Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision.”

In this sense, my drawing attempts to break free from traditional representations of the human form and create something new and imaginative.
