• Always confirm that your physician, eye doctor, and dentist are still part of the network by calling the customer service number on your ID card or visiting the carrier’s website. • Check your area for urgent care center locations as an alternative to emergency room services. Only visit the emergency room in the case of a true emergency. You can also use telemedicine to help treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions. • Use generic prescriptions, if available. Ask your doctor for a generic drug or request the generic equivalent when having your prescription filled. • Save time and money by taking advantage of the mail order prescription service.
