Partner onboarding checklist
This step-by-step checklist is your agency’s guide to onboarding with Ethos. Use it to prepare and track what's required to launch Ethos within your organization.
Step 1: Agency background
Provide your high-level organizational structure. Share an estimated number of agents and your expected annual production with Ethos. Report the percentage breakdown of policies sold by product: Term, IUL, and Final Expense.
Step 2: Agency setup
Confirm access requirements or restrictions for each product. Flag any required hierarchy setup. Outline your compensation model and specify Licensed-Only Agent (LOA) requirements.
Request any customization (e.g., product, compensation, etc.). Provide your principal name and tax I D for SureLC (when required). Confirm Advance Compensation requirements.

Provide principal contact details and the o ffi ce address for all legal correspondence. Review and sign the Enterprise Producer Agreement (EPA), including compensation rates, and the N on- D isclosure Agreement ( ND A). Step 4 : Pr ep ar e for la unc h Provide point of contact details for operational and reporting coordination, including agent contracting. Complete the Agent Portal signup sheet, starting with the top level of your organization.
Approve Ethos lifecycle communications. (Optional) Specify additional reporting needs.
Step 5: Launch partnership Announce the partnership internally and externally. Encourage initial agent quotes and issued policies. Commit to initial onboarding and training sessions and ensure agent attendance.
