The Clinton Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) led by Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton that builds partnerships between businesses, NGOs, governments, and individuals everywhere to nd solutions to important issues and to positively transform lives and communities. The Foundation originally began as the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative to lower the prices of HIV/AIDS medicines, which is now named the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) to improve global access to care and treatment. Their ve main areas of focus are: Economic Development, Climate Change, Girls & Women, Global Health, and Health & Wellness. The Foundation serves people and communities throughout the United States, Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Asia-Pacic. Because of the work of the Foundation, more than 31,000 American schools are providing kids with healthy food choices in an effort to eradicate childhood obesity; more than 33,500 tons of greenhouse gas emissions are being reduced annually across the United States; through the independent Clinton Health Access Initiative, over 11.5 million people in more than 70 countries have access to negotiated lower prices for HIV/AIDS medications; an estimated 85 million people in the U.S. will be reached through strategic health partnerships developed across industry sectors at both the local and national level; just to name a few accomplishments
