We have done so much already and a lot more to come and what an amazing month it has been! With the Formula 1 2025 behind us, I couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved all together. Your energy, dedication, and passion were on full display, and the entire world noticed (more than 800 million viewers!). As we look ahead, let's stay focused on our shared vision: to be the most loved hotel in Jeddah and across the Kingdom. It’s a bold goal, but with a team like ours, I firmly believe it’s within reach.

At Shangri-La Jeddah, International Women’s Day was more than a date on the calendar — it was a heartfelt celebration of strength, unity, and the remarkable women who make our workplace and community thrive. The morning began with a calming retreat into stillness as our incredible sound healer, Amal, guided us through a meditative journey using soothing vibrations and sacred sounds. With each resonating tone, we let go of stress and welcomed in peace, clarity, and balance — a gentle reminder that self-care is not a luxury, but a necessity. After the session, the celebration continued with a delightful brunch spread that matched the elegance and energy of the day. Laughter echoed over fresh pastries, colorful platters, and sparkling conversation, as we honored not only the global significance of International Women’s Day, but the everyday brilliance of the women right beside us. Bridging Cultures Sharing Saudi Flavors: A Culinary Exchange at Shangri-La Beijing
In celebration of Saudi Founding Day, Chef Ali and Chef Abbas from Shangri-La Jeddah brought the rich tastes of Saudi cuisine to Shangri-La Beijing. Together, they introduced authentic Saudi dishes to the talented chefs in Beijing, sparking a meaningful cultural exchange through the universal language of food.

ROOTED IN HERITAGE Celebrating Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day at SLJD
At Shangri-La Jeddah, growth goes beyond titles — it’s about experiences, learning from diverse environments, and stepping into new challenges. One shining example of this commitment is our colleague Amr Sairafi , who recently returned from a two month task force assignment at Shangri-La Muscat. During his time in Muscat, Amr was entrusted with a vital responsibility — overseeing Food Safety and Hygiene standards across three properties, Al Waha, Al Husn, and Al Bandar . With dedication, precision, and a passion for excellence, he conducted over 42 audits, ensuring that the highest levels of compliance, consistency, and quality were maintained throughout the operations. “This experience was more than just a professional milestone,” Amr shared. “It was an opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute meaningfully to properties outside my own — while also bringing back valuable insights and best practices.” His work extended beyond audits. Amr collaborated closely with local teams, provided on-the-ground support, and helped reinforce the Shangri-La brand’s unwavering commitment to guest safety and operational excellence.
