Dear Wilmington Country Club Member,

We wanted to keep you up to speed with what we are doing at the Club to prevent the potential exposure to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We are following the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for news and advice like many institutions as well as our local public health agencies.

The CDC recommends the following steps to prevent sickness. We are encouraging you and our staff to practice these habits at work as well as at home.

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick. • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. • Stay home when you are sick. • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household anti-bacterial cleaning spray or wipe. • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. • We have implemented enhanced routine environmental cleaning procedures throughout the Club. This includes disinfecting table and counter surfaces, chair arm-rests, door handles and various other areas with anti-viral cleaning solutions. • We have placed additional hand sanitizer dispensers in high use areas throughout the Club. • We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing procedures in our locker rooms and kitchens. • Fitness Center equipment is being wiped down regularly by our staff during the day with sanitizer and although we are enhancing our own cleanliness, we ask that members are diligent in wiping down their own fitness equipment after each use. • Employees are being reminded of the importance of proper hand hygiene, covering the nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, and avoiding the touching of the face. • The salad bar in Cafe1901 is discontinued until further notice. We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more from the CDC and local health agencies. Keeping our members and employees healthy is our top priority. Thank you for doing your part. We will continue to closely monitor this situation and make any further adjustments as they are needed. However, at this time, it is business as usual here at the Club. At Wilmington Country Club, we have taken the following precautions:
