CYLINDERS
• Designed to lock a cylinder or part of a circuit while a directional control valve is in the neutral position • In neutral flow from both ends of cylinder is blocked • When valve is shifted to direct flow to one side of cylinder, pressure opens the check ball and simultaneously moves the piston to the opposite side of the valve • Opening this check valve allows free flow return to the directional control valve

BAILEY™ - Double Pilot Operated Lock Valve
FILTRATION
Used to lock a cylinder in place when a directional control valve is in the neutral position. In operation, pressurized oil flow is directed through one of the cylinder ports. The pressure from the valve port will shift the pilot spool opening of the corresponding check valve, allowing oil to return through the opposite check valve. This valve uses a hardened steel seat and ball and therefore should not be used in applications requiring absolutely zero leakage.
