ORACLE December 2019

ORPS QUILTERS & SEWING CLUB Calling all those in need of needle therapy! We would like to invite you to join us in the West Room Monday - Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. This group allows us the room and time to work on individual projects, as well as group projects. The group projects help the club to raise money and give resources to the Cathedral City Fire Department, first responders and to domestic violence victims at Shelter from the Storm. An example of the club’s charitable efforts can be seen in the picture and letter written to the Cathedral City Fire Chief.

BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP To Be held Thursday, December 5 3:30PM Owners’ Lounge The Innocents

While on one of our medical aid incidents, a child became very concerned for his mother’s emergency. Chief Engineer Pike & Firefighter/Paramedic Caouette offered the child a blanket to ease his concern. Afterwards, he was all smiles. He and his grandmother allowed me to take his picture after the ambulance had left with his mother.

by Michael Crumney Two children orphaned at a young age in 19th century Newfoundland, rely on one another to survive alone in one of Earth's most challenging times in
