CONTEST RULES Contestants must be a Registered Apprentice or Pre-Apprentice and training under an employer/participating employer or sponsor who has a program registered with ApprenticeshipNC. Contestants must be approved for contest participation by a registered employer, sponsor, or the Apprenticeship Committee. Contestants must furnish own equipment and a complete set of tools: trowel, level, square, hammer, water can, standard and modular rule, concave jointers. A mortar pan will be provided for contestants. Contestants must furnish and wear cotton gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, and proper safety shoes (no sneakers). Employer/Sponsor must submit entry form no later than September 6, 2024. Preference given to Registered Apprentices until September 6, 2024. After September 6, 2024, available spaces will be filled by high school masonry pre-apprentices and students on a first-come basis. Contestants must not have completed apprenticeship training prior to Monday, October 21, 2024. First place winner ineligible to compete in future contests. Contest limited to 40 qualified contestants.
