Regrets & Apologies Hi Tom,
into Fox Body Mustangs and since then we started going to the Carlisle All Fords Weekend together. I’ve recently seen some dis- cussion about attending two or three day events and want to say most of the time we never stay for the Sunday part of the show. Either I wanted to get back to relax before having to be back at work or with my adult children and grandchil- dren that go with me, they need to be back for the same reason. I’ve never gone to shows for prizes or trophies because my cars are drivers and solely intended for fun. I now cruise a ‘57 Ford and my granddaugh- ters love going with me which means more than anything. Most of the shows we attend are a couple hours away and when people ask, I tell them this car is a driver not a museum piece. My neighbors have been great over the years with all the projects my sons and I have worked on over the years, both without and with the shop we built. There were times my backyard looked like a small junkyard, but we kept it neat, and it kept my boys out of trouble. Personally I like the paper copy of StreetScene versus the web copy. I can sit away from all distractions and relax while hold- ing and reading it. I’ve enjoyed being happy and proud to be a NSRA member for all these years and hope my letter wasn’t too long. I feel good letting others read about the impact NSRA has had on our family.
I was recently reminded about the level of quality service that exists amongst rodders. My older coilovers needed rebuild- ing so I sent them to Aldan American via USPS for servicing. Lo and behold all that arrived was the shipping label with “sin- cere regrets & apologies” for your loss from the USPS. The standard $100 insurance didn’t begin to cover it. Steven and the service team at Aldan American agreed to provide and service another pair of used coilovers for the same price as servicing my lost pair. They arrived today and l’m certain they are a brand- new pair! I felt impelled to share my thanks to Aldan American for their excellent customer service! NSRA Impact Staff,
I started going to the NSRA Street Rod Nationals East in 1978 and became a member in 1980. I met a good friend at that first show who had just learned about NSRA and we haven’t missed a show since. My son started going with us in 1983 at seven-years-old and only missed one show until he passed away of cancer in 2023. His wife trav- eled to the shows with him and then their daughter at eight months old. My son had gotten
