Paris In June L adies, here’s a heads up for a new theme at the Nationals East Ladies Tea, it’ll be “Paris in June.” The time and location of the Tea will be in Old Main starting at 1:30 to 3:30pm. This event always prom- ises to be lots of fun for the ladies with plenty of treats. Coordinator Patty Knaack will have hot and cold drinks, snacks, goodies, door prizes and more. The Ladies Tea is sponsored by Sanderson Headers, plus a few more. If you or your club would like to donate to the Ladies Tea or just want more information, contact Patty at 410-935-8651. Free Friday Night BBQ Dinner This will mark the fourth year in a row that Explore York has spon- sored the Kick-off Dinner and Party at the Nationals East on Friday night in the Verandah Room. The dinner menu for this year will be roast beef cooked over charcoal with mac & cheese and baked potato. Beverages include iced tea, lemonade and water. The doors open at 5pm and feed the first 400 participants, all you will need is your button to enter. Brush Brigade Pinstripers Charity Auction If you are looking for some cool stuff for your Man Cave and want to help the Make a Wish Foundation, the charity that helps kids, then be in Memorial Hall on both Friday and Saturday at the Nationals East to see some unique pinstriped one-of-a-kind items up for auction. These artists come from all over the country to donate their time to help the local kids by working all weekend on these pinstriped items. Cassandra Seth and her husband have sponsored the Brush Brigade for years. The auctions take place all three days, check the Event Guide for the exact times. If you are pinstriper and would like to help the kids and Cassandra by donating an item for the auction, please contact her at auctiongal@zoominternet.net. Model & Pedal Car Display If you would like to have an entry in the National East Model Car Contest this year, feel free to bring it to Memorial Hall and the Model Car Club of Central PA will be glad to help you. Each winner receives a special award plaque for each class. For more detailed information about the classes, contact Rick Woleslagle at sgtwolfy@aol.com.
