a Pertronix ignition system, exits gases through Dougs Headers hooked to a 3 1/2-inch exhaust, and moves the power through a B&M TH400 with a 2400 Hole Shot converter. Other than the 16/17-inch American Torq Thrust IIs and stance the Camaro looks just as it did when Tim Ireland laid down the Porsche Indian Red in 1980. The exterior has all the trim, the groovy molded deck- lid spoiler, RS-style headlights (no nose stripe), and flawless paint regardless of the age. Ron redid the interior himself with a stock flair, but using all the good stuff. He added a TMI one-piece headliner, redid the Deluxe seats (with fold down rear) in the factory

black with white stripes, and cleaned up everything else. The factory gauges were replaced with Autometer gauges in a custom insert, a Billet Specialties steering wheel was added, and otherwise it looks and smells like a new Chevy interior. All of Ron’s adult life he has had a first-generation Camaro and for 45 years he has loved this ’67 Camaro. He spent 20 years as an Air Force jet mechanic, he spent 23 years after that working as an engineer for a medical company, and he was already married to Sandy when he bought this car. I applaud that kind of commitment, and it shows in how well put together the Walker’s Camaro is.
