AUDREY GROVE One of the best ways to get a kid involved is to start them young with a miniature-size street rod go-cart (kids don’t want to pedal anymore), but do not bring it to 29 Below for whomever is working the gate should and will turn it away, the program is only for cars that meet NSRA’s requirements of being registered and fully insured. On the other hand, I decided to let Audrey Grove’s slide to sell you on the idea of building one just like her sweet little ’34 Ford roadster her dad and grandfather teamed up to build. I dig every detail of this little roadster and hope to see her cruising full-size in a few years. 29 below

ANTHONY HARRIS I can’t help getting excited when I see a kid cruising in his stripped-down A-bone pounding away with banger power and a big smile. Anthony Harris from Bolivar, MO, got his ’30 Model A as a bare body. He swapped in a stock frame/drivetrain, ’41 Chevrolet taillights, chopped the top 4 inches and while Jim Pike lowered the stock suspension, Anthony slipped on 16-inch steelies with Firestone blackwall rubber and he hit the road. I love the little

coupe and hope it keeps getting cooler until it matches Milner’s (his inspiration) of American Graffiti.

DAVID ARCHULETA David Archuleta from Pueblo, CO, dragged his ’73 Chevy Blazer out of a field years ago. David teamed up with his dad (Jerald) to clean up the body, slip in a built 350/350 powertrain, install a CPP front suspension with tubular control arms, flip the rear suspension, lay down the blue

paint, wire the Blazer with a kit from American Autowire, and mom did the interior back to the original brown.
