Technician’s ability to properly diagnose automotive and light truck braking systems. A review of ABS operation, related components and base brake tips helps to reduce diagnosis time and comebacks. Understanding of measurements of run out and parallelism will help reduce customer complaints. This seminar discusses application, operation, diagnosis and bleeding. Helpful tips for system diagnosis, either with or without scan tools, are provided. Presented by: Macomb Community College Speaker: Gordan Lee
This session is designed to introduce the gasoline technician to light diesel engine and performance repairs. The ideal student does not currently work on the light duty diesel vehicles but would like to expand their knowledge base in this area. Topics that will be covered include: Similarities between direct-injection gasoline and diesel engines, maintenance and care of diesels, exhaust after- treatment, codes/PIDs and monitor diagnosis, and no-code diagnosis.
