Electrical Made Easy 2/8/25, Class #108 8:30-11:30 am
The ABC’s Of Electrical Systems 2/8/25, Class #126 8:30-11:30 am Understanding how circuits are built and components function are key in any system. This course starts right at the components, works outward from the power sources to understanding the road map traveled to and from. This course is designed to help a beginning technician navigate on their electrical diagnostic training path. Areas covered are as follows: • Components and their operation
ONLY SEATS 50
This session is designed for the technician who struggles with the understanding, testing and diagnosis of 12 Volt DC Electrical Circuits. Using the KISS theory (Keep it Simple, Stupid), we will attempt to make Electrical Easy to understand, test and to diagnose. What we’ll cover: Electrical Terminology, Battery Terminology, Basic Ohms Law. Relationship of Amperage flow and Resistance: Electrical Schematics (Wiring Diagrams), How to read them, How to use them for diagnosis, Why wiring diagrams are so important to your diagnosis. Relays: How they work, Using Relays as a center point for your diagnosis. Voltage Drop: How to perform Voltage Drop, When to perform a Voltage Drop Test, Why Voltage Drop testing is important. Parasitic Draw and Tools to Diagnose: DVOM ( Multimeter), Power Probes, Electrical connector test kits, and Relay testers. Presented by: Macomb Community College Speaker: Kurtis LaHaie
• Batteries and operation • Circuit types and the flow
• Reading and using a wiring diagram • Basic starter and alternator function Presented by: BBB Industries Speaker: Michael Hall
Electrical Meters Applications and Understanding - Hands On 2/8/25, Class #232 8:30-11:30 am
ONLY 50 SEATS
Discover the full potential of a DVOM, DMM, or whatever you call the electrical meter. If you are not sure how to read and use the full potential of electrical meters, this class will help. It is a lecture and hands-on class, so bring your multi-meter. Meters provided to the first 50 registrations and presented as a gift after completion. What we’ll cover: • Understanding meter proper hookups • Manual and auto ranging of the meter • How not to blow a meter fuse • Kilo volts, millivolts, microamps, milliamps, mega, and kilo ohms Presented by: Macomb Community College Speaker: Dan Claus
