ADAS
Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) 2/8/25, Class #120 8:30-11:30 am Advanced Driver Assist Systems or ADAS are designed to help the driver avoid collisions with other vehicles or objects through the use complex systems such as radar and image processing cameras. While these systems are very reliable under normal conditions, vehicle collisions and many service procedures require ADAS components to be calibrated. The goal of this class is to prepare the aftermarket technician to determine when and how an ADAS component needs to be calibrated by looking at specific examples on various vehicles. After completing this class, you will be able to: • Explain ADAS system operation • Determine required tools for an ADAS calibration • Setup a vehicle an ADAS calibration
An Introduction to ADAS and Their Calibration 2/8/25, Class #222 1:30-4:30 pm ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are a hot topic emerging in the collision and auto repair industries for the past few years and they are most certainly here to stay. This class will discuss many of these systems, their operation, as well as, the challenges and opportunities they present to the modern technician. Discussion will include but not limited to: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Lane Keep Assistance System (LKAS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and other camera based systems. This is a no nonsense investigation of these mission critical safety systems, how they work, their interactions with one another, their advantages and disadvantages, why manufacturers are using them and most importantly what service opportunities they present for the modern repair facility. Some servicing and calibrations can be done with tools the shop already may own. Many real world examples and insights included. Presented by: EZ Diagnostic Solutions Speaker: Eric Ziegler
