Maintenance 2/8/25, Class #127 8:30-11:30 am
2/8/25, Class #214 1:30-4:30 pm From EcoBoost to large truck engines, Ford gasoline engines have evolved considerably over the last decade. In order to continue to profitably repair and service these engines, technicians will need to stay current with the changes. In this class we will examine Ford variable valve timing, direct injection, dual fuel systems, fuel delivery systems, fuel control, ignition systems, and boost control. After completing this class, a technician will be able to: diagnose variable valve timing codes and problems, diagnose port, direct, and dual injection systems, understand the difference between 2-wire and 3-wire ignition systems, evaluate fuel control issues, diagnose boost system failures and more! Presented by: Standard Motor Products Speaker: Standard Motor Products Master Trainer
This session will cover vital maintenance service on electrified vehicles. Techs will learn the proper ways to maintain essential systems including: Low Voltage Electrical System, Reduction Gear Assemblies, Cooling Systems for the High-Voltage Equipment, Passenger Cabin Climate Controls and Modern Adaptive Suspensions. You will learn how these systems integrate with each other to provide proper operation of the entire EV system architecture. Techs will learn to: • Understand service opportunities on Electrified Vehicles • Recognize Low Voltage control system faults that could cause High Voltage system operation concerns • Perform profitable coolant services for High Voltage Battery Cooling Loops • Identify service procedures and required tooling for common services related to EV brake and suspension systems • Perform reduction gear/transaxle service opportunities
