Understanding Irish Qualifications National Framework of Qualifications in Ireland (NFQ) measures all learning achievements and qualifications in Ireland. It also allows all foreign qualifications to be compared to those in Ireland. Understanding the NFQ is important in securing state funding in many instances as State funding is dependent on progression from one level to another.
