Preventing Caregiver Burnout Caregiver Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion that can lead to stress, fatigue, and reduced quality of care. Recognizing the signs early and setting healthy boundaries are essential to protecting both caregivers and their clients. Practicing regular self-care, including rest, stress management, and asking for help is vital to prevent burnout and sustain a caregiver’s well-being.
