AICC Releases Score Cracking Whitepaper AICC,The Independent Packaging Association, has re- leased Score Cracking: Causes, Characteristics, and Cures , a free whitepaper curated by AICC Corrugated Technical Advisor RalphYoung.The free paper address- es score cracking, an issue faced by all corrugated con- verters. Besides containerboard and the combining processes, the paper also briefly focuses on die cutting and other finishing operations as contributors to, and possible cures for, score cracking and liner rupture. Labelexpo India 2018 Reports Record Numbers Labelexpo India, in its sixth edition, took place at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida from No- vember 22-25, 2018.This marked the largest show to date in the region, as a total of 9,851 visitors from 55 countries passed through its doors over the four days of the show, a 22.7 percent increase from the last edi- tion in 2016 and the biggest visitor increase to date. The show was also 28 percent larger in size, with 250 exhibitors occupying a total floorspace of 7,073 square meters compared to 200 across 5,899 square meters in the 2016 edition. This makes the 2018 edi- tion the biggest Labelexpo show in the region to date. Complementing the Expo, a well-attended Brand In- novation Day took place on day one of the show. Brand owners and designers from a wide range of sectors took part in an exclusive series of seminars and educational sessions aimed at equipping them with expert insight into making the most out of their brand, how they can overcome key challenges on the path to future growth, and stay ahead of the competi- tion in a fast-paced industry. Nyquist, BST Sell 1,000th Print Inspection System BST eltromat International, a manufacturer of quality assurance systems for web-processing industries, and cooperation partner Nyquist Systems, manufacturer of the TubeScan portfolio for 100 percent inspection and web monitoring for the narrow web market, cele- brated the 1,000th TubeScan produced. The 1,000th system to be manufactured is a TubeScan Digital Strobe 4k. This system celebrated its world premiere at last year’s All4Pack exhibition in Paris, and was sold to the Paris-based company Smag Graphique.
