Y fc tfS OP SPIRITUAL BLESSING [ Continued, from Page 368] men like Lyman Stewart, T. C. Horton, R. A. Torrey, and William Blackstone. At the Institute, when we saw Mr. Stewart, we would think instinctively of Christian giving. Mr. Horton, the faithful soul-winner, made us aware of the need of winning men for Christ. When we saw Dr. TorrCy, we would be reminded of the importance of sound Bible doctrine. Mr. Blackstone always made us think: “Jesus is coming.” No man can have these basic facts ■ constantly impressed upon him, as they have been impressed upon me, without his beingi eternally grateful to God. The motto of Lyman Stewart has come to be my own prayer: "Lord, help me to accomplish the greatest possible good in the shortest Because the lives of other Christians have so often affected my. own life and service, I have come to have a great regard for such passages as Hebrews 10:24 and Proverbs 3:17: “Let us consider one another to provoke (stimulate) unto love and to good yvorks . . . Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” These verses have taught me to be on the watch to encourage people who need it. It is a ministry that must be studied and engaged in with prayer and Christian love; but it yields the richest kind of reward. In' many ways, these interests o f'a lifetime will be continued, even though the regular work of an office position is no longer mine. It is no sudden thing that I have asked for retirement. I dp not want to be a lame duck, carried about by others, .however willing they may be to do that. I have long felt that there is truth in the saying, “Some people f, would have lived longer if they had died sooner.” So, while I am still able to engage in work for the Lord along other less strenuous lines, I have felt led to withdraw from active service . - with the Institute. I hope to devote the 1 1 remaining years of my life to tract ministry, mailing out well-chosen tracts every day. It is my purpose to be “instant in season and out of season,” systematically serving my ( Lord “till he come”—or till He.calls for me. This determination ha^ al ready given me years of spiritual blessing. I have every reason to be lieve that the coming days will be the brightest of all.

There can be no “successor” to a man like this. His friend and fellow worker, Eugene Poole, occupies the office that was formerly his, but Mr. Hunt’s name is still on the door, and he and his friends are ever as welcome as in the earlier years.
