Chicago TAPPI Attendees Get Peek Into ‘What’s Happening’ In The Industry BY GREG KISHBAUGH Chicago TAPPI hosted its most recent “What’s Happening” event at the Marriot in Oak Brook, Illinois on May 13. Along with a trade fair, the event provided the opportunity for a host of corrugated company representa- tives to tell attendees about some of the latest technological advance- ments in the industry. The event consisted of the following presentations: Valmet IQ Quality Management System – Combines precise online moisture, temperature, and wrap measurements with closed-looped con- trols to improve quality and reduce waste. Presenter: David Maddux, Cor- rugator Board and Paper Converting Sales Manager of North America, Valmet. GOX Solutions — An integrated automatic inline assembly system for corrugated pallets, capable of producing up to six pallets per minute. Pre- senter: Jere Sadowsky, Sales Consultant, Green OX Pallet Technology.
