Altro Industries Invests In HP Indigo 35K Digital Press
Canadian printer Altro Industries announced the installa- tion of an HP Indigo 35K Digital Press, strengthening its position in the packaging industry, expanding into new markets, and maintaining agility in an increasingly com- petitive landscape. The company said that the investment enables them to enter the folding carton market, comple- menting its existing offerings in labels, packaging tapes, and shrink sleeves. Previously, Altro Industries faced challenges sourcing folding cartons from vendors in Eastern Canada and the US, leading to high freight costs and exchange rate fluc- tuations. With the HP Indigo 35K, the company says it can now produce folding cartons locally, offering competitive pricing and significantly reducing delivery lead times. By eliminating reliance on distant suppliers, this investment not only resolves cost and logistical hurdles but also en- hances Altro Industries’ ability to compete in the folding carton market with high-quality, locally produced solutions, with reduced freight costs and better lead times. The ability to print folding cartons without the need for plates has enhanced production efficiency, reducing reli- ance on external suppliers while allowing for faster, more agile responses to customer orders. With fast turnaround capabilities, the HP Indigo 35K enables Altro Industries to help clients remain competitive by reducing MOQs and providing quicker access to packaging solutions. HP’s Indigo 35K Digital Press empowers Altro Indus- tries’ employees to develop their expertise in folding car- ton production by working with digital printing technolo- gy to explore new creative solutions.
