Wolf said she got involved with a Vistage peer advisory group, where executives help each other work through challenges in a confidential en- vironment, share perspectives and develop winning strat- egies.

“Whatever your passion, especially if you’re new in the industry, I would say join an AICC group. Get involved with people who have tons of knowledge and then when you look to broaden, find another group that continues to chal- lenge you and move you forward,” she said. As CEO, she found herself at another crossroads that required making a big decision on a capital expenditure. It was time for a new digital printer. Should she get the newer version of the same model, which wouldn’t change their capabilities, or should she go big? She looked at the numbers. She listened to her gut. “I looked at Chuck, and I said, ‘Here’s the deal. I’m buy- ing this three-and-a-half million-dollar printer.’ He looks at me and goes, ‘You have lost your mind.’ I said, ‘Maybe, but we’re going to go down in a blaze of glory if it crashes or you’re going to look at me two or three years later and go, good work.’” Wolf admits digital printing is not for the weak of heart. It’s a different beast, but she loves being in the creative marketplace. Now 20 years in the digital business, she is wowed by the most recent investment — an EFI Nozomi 14000 digital printer. She is impressed by its high-speed printing and the printing gamut, choosing the CMYK Plus Optional Orange and Violet, which expands the color gam- ut to reach 97 percent of the Pantone library.
