She also loves the quality of their digital prints which she says look exactly like a litho label at half the cost. “It is still my passion,” she said. “We’re still two years in our infancy in our learning curve, but I can tell you that our digital sales year-to-date versus last year has increased by 300 percent.” Though her journey may have been unplanned, unex- pected, and fraught with business and personal challeng- es, Wolf said she couldn’t be happier where she is at to- day. “Sometimes life just gives you what it’s supposed to,” she said. Charles Wolf had a saying, “You never do better than you plan,” and it still rings true today. “Sometimes your mentors come from the most unlikely of places,” Diane said. “I realized that all of those lunches that Chuck and his father and I went to when we were all together at the company, and unbeknownst to me, he was mentoring me, and I had no idea it was happening.” Here’s to Charles Wolf and the art of good business planning from one generation to the next.
