Discrimination Law in Employment Examine the philosophical and conceptual basis of equality and anti-discrimination law. You’ll focus primarily upon the substantive law of Britain prohibiting discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and age. International Criminal Court and International Crime Gain a critical awareness of the most serious crimes of international concern, including crimes of aggression, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. Data Protection and Privacy An introduction to data protection rules within an interdisciplinary environment. You’ll gain a critical awareness of the scope and effects of international, EU and UK mandatory regulations on data protection and privacy. You can also take up to two modules from another subject area (excluding Oil, Gas and Mining Law), but we advise you to select modules from the above options if possible.

Human Rights in Europe Evaluate the international structures and mechanisms for the protection of human rights within Europe. You’ll also critically examine and evaluate the jurisprudence of the European Court and Commission of Human Rights. Theory and Principles of International Law An introduction to international criminal law, examining its origins and relationship with other areas of law.
