Frank and Kathleen Haeni Wildlife Scholarship
Frank and Kathleen Haeni, UWSP Class of 1970, created this scholarship in honor of their outstanding education, the willingness of faculty to help them succeed as students, and their appreciation for the natural environment. They are proud that the tradition of openness and passion to further the education of students remains today. Frank is a practicing naturalist and continues to follow this passion in all walks of life. The generosity to create this fund is found in the great joy of giving back to the students that follow in their footsteps.

George and Jeanette Rogers Conservation Legacy Scholarship
George (1928-2013) and Jeanette (1929-2014) Rogers were longtime Stevens Point residents who are remembered for their devotion to family and community, their quiet but firm commitment to faith, ethics, education, and preserving and protecting the natural environment that sustains us all. George, an avid hunter, and a fisherman was a writer, editor, author, civic leader, and longtime conservation advocate. He worked for 40 years at Stevens Point Journal as a reporter, editor, and publisher before retiring in 1988. George owned a 40-acre pine plantation which he planted with 40,000 red pine seedlings in 1950 and continued to manage until his death in 2013. In 2014, Jeanette donated the land -- now called the George Rogers Living Forest -- to UWSP for education and research.
