for Jesus told the people what the story meant. Jesus said the field meant the world, the owner of the field meant Je sus Himsélf, the good seed, the wheat, meant the words that He preached. Boys and girls, you know this whole Bi ble is God’s Word, so we must remem ber Jesus says His word is the good seed. The wheat that grew up meant the people that listened to those words and obeyed them. . The enemy that sowed the bad seed meant Satan; and the tares in the field meant the wicked people who would not believe in Jesus. As the owner of the field allowed the wheat and the tares to grow up together until the harvest, so Jesus will allow good and bad people to live together in the world until the Judgment Day. Then He will send forth His angels to gather up the good' people and take them to heaven with Him, but the bad will be sent away to be punished. Wheat and tares look alike, and so we can not; always tell the good people from

the bad, but God knows the good from the bad, and He will gather the good, His own children, to Himself and take them home to live with Him forever in the beautiful place He is getting ready for all who love Him and obey Him. Now our story teaches us that we grow things just like the seed we plant, and our memory verse will help us. I will say it over several times and then you can repeat it after me. (Teach M. Y.) If we want loving thoughts and kind words and deeds in our heart garden, we must plant God’s Word, for if we do not plant good seed, the bad will grow even if we do not plant them. Some of us who have had gardens know how the’ weeds grow and we are kept busy pull ing them out. If we learn our memory verse each week and do as it tells us, we are planting good seed in our heart. >Closing Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, we thank Thee for the Bible, the good seed, and help us to plant Thy Word in our hearts and minds. . . ¿i*.
