Cambridge Primary Path combines an ESL approach to literacy with ELT support. The powerful combination of three learning pillars – literacy, oracy and creativity, all supported by a strong inquiry-based learning foundation makes the course unique. Through these pillars the course empowers children to reach their full potential and become confident and effective communicators. • Literacy: students learn to read and write through exposure to a rich variety of texts, and then use those skills to learn about the world – from learning to read to reading to learn. • Oracy: much more than speaking and listening, Oracy focuses on skills that the make the learner a better communicator, including learning to listen actively, presenting ideas clearly, working collaboratively and much more. • Creativity: to help students to develop original and innovative ideas, alternatives or possibilities, the course follows 7 creativity principles to ensure that students practice creativity throughout. A Creative Journal is provided with the Student’s Book. Inquiry based learning is the thread which binds the pillars together. A Big Question in every unit helps students develop the confidence to become critical thinkers and investigate and analyse the unit topic.
